picture of the week 49

we’ve spent a wonderful weekend in leukerbad. since half of italy spent their long weekend in switzerland every hotelroom was booked [1]. so we spent the night in the marvellous schlosshotel in leuk, some kilometers down the road.
if you ever want to spend the night in a nice hotel [2] we can recommend it. the beds are so comfortable that you don’t want to leave them, even not for brushing your teeth and making a phonecall :-)

[2]: that is also quite cheap and is run by people with disabilities – as an integration project and place to live

BLGMDYBRN recap

wiederum haben sich ein paar der berner alphageeks getroffen, und einer hat mit seinen wlan gadgets abgeräumt. leu, der preis für den gadgetigsten blogger geht an dich. mal schauen, was wir anderen bis zum nächsten mal auftreiben können.
dabei waren (wieder mal nur typen, und von mir aus gesehen nach rechts): rouge (darf der überhaupt noch an bloggertreffen kommen?), this (auf der suche nach einem tastentester), leu (der gadget-mann), christian (der sein monatliches blogpensum letzten sonntag abgehakt hat..), reto (dessen feed neu in meinem reader aufgenommen wird) und meine wenigkeit.

auf ein nächstes mal! wollen wir das wirklich am ersten tag im neuen jahr machen?

some statistics

since i’ve been mentioned in the berner zeitung two weeks ago i thought it’s time to take a look at the access-statistics of my site once again [1].

Tastentest-Statistik-WidgetTastentest-Statistik-Googlesince i let google get some data about my visitors, i also have a fancy-schmanzy widget, that shows me at a quick glance if something remarkable is going on (click on the left image for bigger view).
and i have to say that one could really see that quite some people came to my site in the days after the article came out [2]. one can see it much better on the following graph, when it’s not the naked numbers… on friday the 10. november the article came out and in the two following days i had around 2-3 times more people on my little website than normal (click right image for slightly bigger view). quite nice, innit?

citizen journalism [update]

Images 337108 Habivor längerer zeit wurde ich von this gefragt, ob ich mal beim tastentest mitmachen möcht.
nachdem die wii schon vergeben war und auf die schnelle (jemand ist abgesprungen) das sony gps-cs1 mit dem mac eine längere testphase bedingt hätte, hab ich für this gerne ein nabaztag getestet. drum die vielen hasen-fotos auf flickr…
morgen erscheint mein textli in der zeitung.

blgmdnbrn [update]

wieder einmal ein lustiger abend im domino:

gesprochen wurde: über hasen, demokratie, vereinsstatuten [1], bluewin-tv, altmodische projektoren, die viel bessere auflösung als dieses neumodische zeugs haben, die kommenden sbaw, wordpressMU, kaywa, panoramasoftware, themen- und katzenblogs, ueli maurer (mit offizieller svp-replik (hier, 3.5mb .mp3)) und noch viel mehr. hossa, fei chli copypaste!
willst du das nächste mal auch dabei sein? dann komm vorbei! übrigens, frauen dürfen auch vorbeischauen!

Suicmc06yesterday the swiss cycle messenger championships 2006 were held in zürich, in the middle of the city.

it was really a blast! mostly because there were loads of spectators, the weather was super-nice, it was fun to meet other messengers in switzerland (i guess around 120 of ’em were there), but also, because i’m now officially the fourth-best messenger in switzerland[1], just a bit short after triple faiss and a wee bit faster than dom (both from lausanne).

die wette gilt! (europäischer aktionstag in die stadt – ohne mein auto)

am 22.9. ist wie mittlerweilen jedes jahr europäischer aktionstag “in die stadt – ohne mein auto”.

evi allemann und dori schaer wetten unter die-wette-gilt.ch, dass sie es schaffen, an diesem tag (um 17.30 auf dem waisenhausplatz) 2209 räder zu bewegen.

leider haben sich bis jetzt nur 210 räder gemeldet, das ist nicht mal 10% von dem was nötig ist, damit wir nächstes jahr an der velostation 4 elektrovelos ausleihen können.

es geht nicht so sehr um die elektrovelos, sondern mehr darum, ein zeichen gegen den zunehmenden vier-rad-ismus in unseren städten zu setzen.

ich bin dabei, du auch? (wär doch ‘ne gelegenheit, mal an einer velodemo teilzunehmen…)

picture of the week 32

this weekend ninas brother got married to karin. they planned a big party in their garden, but unfortunately the weather was a bit more like november than august. so they had to last-minute-reschedule the whole wedding to a restaurant. in the end everything turned out really great, and the party ended quite early in the morning. a wedding to remember; congratulations karin and andi!
