become an album producer
filewile recently released their new album blueskywell (which you can play below) using the fairtilizer-player.
now they plan to press their groovy songs on vinyl, but need a little help for this. in true crowsourcing manner they’re looking for producers, which chip in at least 20€ and in turn a limited edition double vinyl with your name printed on the sleeve. even though i don’t own a record player i’ve already signed up. if you want to be part of a producer-team, you can sign up on their album club

update: filewile now (24. Januar 2010) has 3600 € pledged and only needs 50 people more to start production. so if you didn’t sign up until now, go and do it! you can even enter the name of your grandmother!

ich hab soeben mein fünf-seitiges homework abgegeben, diese woche bei meiner auswärts-arbeit einiges erreicht, heute abend freunde zum znacht, morgen geht’s zum ersten mal dieses jahr ins wasser, am abend ans unifest, am sonntag je nach wetter auf eine kleine velotour und am abend wieder fein essen mit freunden.
dieses video passt grad zu meinem gefühl. oh yeah!

jan linked to it ages ago, yesterday evening i finally found the time to watch the “documentary about the current state of copyright and culture”, quite a good movie where dj danger mouse, lawrence lessig and many more are interviewed.

züri west domino
hossa! schon seit einiger zeit fliegt ein stöckchen in der schweizer blogosphäre rum, das ich jeweils ziemlich schnell überflogen habe. ich hab zwar im breitsch öppendie den kuno im coop gesehen, mein itunes-züri-west quotient [1] beträgt aber aktuell 5724:0 für “alle songs” zu “züri west”. selbst die kürzlich fusionierte cd-sammlung konnte mich nicht davor bewahren, die züri-west-homepage zu besuchen, um nicht ein simples “i schänke dir mis härz” an kusitos stockwurf hintenanzuhängen…

also, wenn die frau schenk auf dem internett präsent wäre, würd ich’s ihr weiterschicken, sie hat mal mit der halben band in einer gross-wg gewohnt. der sigi ist auch ein fundierter züri-west-kenner, der bloggt aber seit seinem heute-bericht (29. jänner 2007, leider nicht online) nicht mehr. wenn ich in der bloggeria bleibe, ist christian der empfänger meines stöckchens, der ist ja auch ein fundierter kenner der materie

mixed-tape 18
mercedes released another mixed-tape, this time its the last version, the 18th. they’re having a break until further notice. if you’ve downloaded all the past mixed-tapes (if you haven’t here you can find them all), there is no need to download the new one, since it’s just a best-of all the previously released tracks.
a pity, because they’ve always released some very good tracks. let’s see what the future brings…

filewile – nassau massage
andi and dänu aka filewile released their second album called nassau massage (press release in english or german).
technically they release it in about a month, on the 25.5., but if you want to listen to it (like i’ve done recently), you can already preorder it on their website, and expect a fast delivery. maybe not so fast as i did, ’cause i preordered the album on tuesday night, and andi dropped it in my mailbox on wednesday morning, together with the EP damn, to be released in a week :-)
so far, i really like the album a lot, all the songs are well groovy, some of them even have some radio-potential (as far as i can tell)… many songs feature great vocal artists like nicolette, mr. melody, rider shafique and also hometown hottie baze. if you get the cd, i recommend listening to watch the vibe with mr. shafique (am i right, andi?) and communication, with a great old-school beat. and if you first want to listen to some other filewile-songs, you can download a bunch of them absolutely free here. oh, and if you’re hanging out on myspace, you can add them as a friend, too. and if you want to buy some songs, they can be found in the itunes music store.
