This is the test. I’m in the train to the mountains and blogging away on my mobile.
So azure seems to work :-)
July 2003
my weekend
i’m gonna be in silvaplana at the lake this weekend.
Bruno () is there on the camping since monday and i’m going there later this afternoon.
We’re gonna try out that fancy thing called kite surfing (or kite sailing).
ETA back in Bern is on Monday so expect no news until then (unless i manage to get Azure working on my mobile…)
this is one cool gizmo!
i want this!
plans for tonight
I’m gonna go and see Akua from “Karls Kühne Gassenschau” with Nina.
PS: hopefully she will not read my blog until we meet (in 40 minutes or so), because it’s a surprise for her (for our third anniversary – which was some days ago, but couldn’t be celebrated properly, ’cause she had a lot of exams)
Update: The show was really cool! The Stunts the Girls and Guys of Karls Kühne Gassenschau pull off are amazing.
If you’ve got the chance to go and see them, do it! They just prolonged until the end of september and there are still some tickets available on their website.
perhaps not so superstar :-)
i think most of these () hits are from myself….
filewile.com on telly
I’m becoming a superstar more and more :-)
today Schweiz Aktuell aired the little clip they made last thursday.
Guess what? The little interview they made was on it. So i was on telly tonight…
I’m here at work where no realplayer is installed, so i cannot watch it, but i watched it on telly before. I appear sometimes through the clip and have a little speech :-) (all in swiss-german, a truly funny language…)
Click here to start the clip (in Real-Player-Format).
Energy4u – todays fun link
while i had a break today at work (it’s summer holidays here, so a lot of our clients do not work thus we sometimes get a break…) a guy came chatting me up.
this bloke started to talk about crop-cirlces and pyramid-energy (where razorblades get sharp again when put under a small pyramid) and stuff like that. then he gave me this piece of paper with lots of links on it. one of these links was energy4u (sorry, only in german).
i just had to post this link as the fun link of today, go check it out!
(they also have a really funky disclaimer where they write that their products can also have NO effect, how pathetic…)
this is just too cool!
When i get an SMS on my mobile phone while it’s paired over bluetooth to my trusty little ibook i get a window like this:
this is just too frigging nifty!
(for those without german…..
BOAH: this is even cooler!
while i was typing this entry, Gäbu Palacios (on the left, getting the score while I play Gäbu-Pong) called me, and voilà I get this window!
Does any PC offer the same functionality (Call me a proselyted Switcher)
OK, here’s the translation for those of you non-german-readers:
- The first window is titled “incoming SMS” and the buttons offer the ability to save the SMS as a note, answer or aknowledge with ok (duh!)
- The second window is titled “incoming call and says that the phone rang four times. I’m offered to answer via SMS, to direct Gäbu to my voice mail or to get the call.
PS: Thank God i know the Keyboard-Shortcuts for a Screenshot by heart (Apple+Shift+3 for the whole screen and Apple+Shift+4 for a selection) :-)
and i almost forgot: The incoming call does also mute my ibook and unmute it when i hang up…
good thinking bad man!
The US Code Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8 (g) says:
The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
But George W. Bush — who’s been pushing through laws that would institute stiff penalties for defacing the flag — has been doing that himself… At a recent speech to defense contractors (his biggest contributors), he was handing out signed American flags (link to the AP photo):
Yeah, well, what else is there to say?
React on SPAM!
The Sonntagszeitung (the sunday paper here in Switzerland) of today had a funny article on the SPAM i get quite a lot lately…
You might know it, it’s one of these mails where it goes along those lines:
[snip]
I am Mr. Jeff Obed, Provincial Manager DBSA Bank of South Africa,
Capetown, Branch.
I have urgent and very confidential business proposition for
you.
On June 6, 1999, a foreign mining consultant/contractor with the South
Africa Mining Corporation, Mr. Richard Moss made a numbered time (Fixed)
Deposit for twelve calendar months, valued at US$12,500,000.00 (Twelve million,
Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) in my branch. Upon maturity, I sent a
routine notification to his forwarding address but got no reply.

(The article is in german, for those of you with a good sense of humor there’s an english translation by babelfish here).

Canyoning
Today i went Canyoning into the Canyon called “chli Schlieren” with Nina, Jacky, Claudsche, Peschi and Sigi!
It was unbelievable cool. It’s so nice to be in the river, slide and jump down the rocks into pools and stuff like that.
Mänu and Lüku were both great guides (i know both of them from school).
If you’re in switzerland, and have nothing else to do, go to Interlaken and do that!
The picture here shows the view from the base of Outdoor Interlaken to the Jungrau Region.
Comment for some other Blog-readers (B. and Miklos): We drove from Interlaken over the Brünig and passed through Lungern, how funky is that?
Egger Bier – Todays fun link
The Egger Bier Brewery has a funky little Organigramm on their page.
The only fun part about this is, that this Brewery has a dedicated Horse Team with three a nice gal and some cool boys.
oh, and filewile.com has just uploaded a new track (Cosmic Curry) yesterday night…
I’m listening to Bodhisattva Vow from the album The Sounds Of Science (Disc 1) by Beastie Boys while typing this entry.
some other blogs near my epicentre
ok, i thought it’s about time to jump the bandwagon and list some friends with a blog:
- Bärni, an old classmate and also a mate at university (Which seems farther away from day to day…). He “seduced” me to install a movable type blog here on habi.gna.ch (actually he installed it for me:-)
Bärni is the CTO of [search.ch] and has an unbelievable insight into the inner workings of any computer and programming language - Miklos, also an old classmate of mine, and a good friend through all those long DVD-Nights :-)
He is the chief of the steadicenter and one of the web-masters of golfplayer.ch. The other one has no blog (yet). - Bärnis Brother Arni just started a blog too.
He’s a very good drummer, but does actually sell his whole equipement (perhaps to make some money for his upcoming trip to the remote parts of our world :-)
I.AM
ok.
hello.
erm. this entry is here to get you to know me a bit better (if you already don’t, what you probably do…)
the image on the left shows me with glasses, which i really don’t wear that often, and the one on the right shows me having fun with my mobile, the sonyericsson T610 (which is by the way the first mobile i own).

some test
i am testing a program to update my blog from my mac without logging into movable type on my server.
it’s called kung-log and is availiable on versiontracker
and it has a funky feature: it will post what you listen to at the moment…
i’am listening to: En-Sof from the album “Lingo” by Almamegretta
